The second painting in the Space Shuttle Series offered by Official NASA artist Attila Hejja, Lightship was the recipient of the Hamilton King Award for Best Illustration of the Year by a member of the Society of Illustrators for New York 1985, as well as a Hamilton King Gold Medal Award in the Institutional Category. This dynamic portrayal of the awe-inspiring launch of the shuttle at night captures the beauty and fury of seven million pounds of thrust. Each print is individually inspected and signed by the artist. The original is on display at the Visitor's Center, Cape Kennedy, Florida.
