A New Limited Edition Giclée Canvas by William S. Phillips

The awesome beauty of world-famous Crater Lake, high in the Cascade Range of southern Oregon, is seen from the cockpit of a supersonic F-4 jet fighter in formation. This stunning image was painted after a special training flight the artist made with the Oregon Air National Guards 114th TFTS based at Kingsley Field, Klamath Falls, in the early 1980s.

Crater Lake, regarded by the Klamath Indian Tribe as a sacred site, is the deepest lake in the United States, its waters among the purest in North America. A massive, violent eruption of Mount Mazama thousands of years ago created the lake, which today is the centerpiece of a national park.

In this stunning winter image, the Phantoms approach Wizard Island, a cinder cone in the middle of the lake. The dazzling white snow makes the blue water seem even bluer than usual. After making two passes over the lake by special permission, the pilots completed their training mission and returned to Kingsley Field.

This Fine Art Masterwork Giclee Canvas has the panoramic look and feel of Phillips spectacular original oil painting and is similar in size. Only 75 reproductions have been made on canvas of this sought-after image. Call and order yours today while this limited edition is available.
