Since 1976 the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagles has stood combat ready as the USAF air superiority fighter. Designed to defeat any other airplane in air-to-air combat, the F-15 was built with an optimum blend of maneuverability, avionics, weapons and raw power. Eagles flown by American, Israeli and Saudi Arabian forces have claimed over eighty aerial victories without a single F-15 loss. The artist depicts fully armed Eagles from the 33rd Tactical Fighter Wing, with the highest number of Gulf War victories, against a serene sunlit backdrop.
